The first people want to know is the Google Pay Toll-free helpline number. That is why I am telling this number first. 

But, I still suggest that this should be your last resort. 

There two different helpline numbers, one for registered mobile numbers and another is for unregistered mobile 

numbers. Both these toll-free numbers stay active 24×7 so you can call them anytime you want. 

In this method, you can talk to the person one on one. Hence you can explain your problem better than any other mode.

  1. Request a Call Back 

If it is difficult to contact Google Pay customer care support, you can also request a callback. This method is 

somewhat similar to making a call to customer care from your end. You can talk to the customer care person and get 

the solution for your problem on the phone. The only difference is that in this method, you receive the call from 

customer care instead of yourself making a call. 

You can request a callback anytime from the Google Pay (Tez) app itself by following the below steps. 

Open the Google Pay (Tez) app and go to settings. 

Scroll down and find ‘Help & Feedback’ option and tap on it. You can read the help articles here or just tap on the 

contact button given at the bottom of the page. 

Now scroll down to ‘Contact us’ section and tap on the round blue button saying ‘Phone’. 

Here, enter your name, country and mobile number if they’re not there already. Also, describe your issue in a few words. 

However, it is purely optional. 

Now, click on the submit button at the top right corner. You will soon receive a call from Google Pay (Tez) customer 

car. Receive that call and talk to the customer service representative.

  1. Chat With Google Representative 

You can also chat with a Tez customer care specialist to resolve your issue. This method becomes handy when you 

don’t want to talk to the customer care on phone. You can initiate a chat 24×7 in Google Pay (Tez) payment app. Below 

are the steps. 

Open the Tez app, go to settings and then find and tap on the ‘Help & Feedback’ option. 

Here, scroll down and tap on the ‘Contact’ option at the bottom of the page. 

Now, you will find the ‘Chat’ option at the contact us section. Tap on it to go to the ‘Chat’ page. 

Describe your issue in a few words if you want. And then click on the submit button. 

Now, you reach the chat page and you can see your number in the chat queue. Wait for a few seconds and a specialist 

will connect with you via chat. 

Note: You might not see the chat option in the contact us menu. Don’t worry, it is just because every specialist is busy 

solving other user’s queries. All you need to do is wait for sometimes. And you will be able to see the chat option there. 

  1. Write in the forum 

Google also launched a product forum for Google Pay (Tez). You can post your problems and queries there. There are 

several experts active all the time. They will soon consider your query and provide a suitable solution for that. Follow 

the steps below. 

Visit Google Pay (Tez) Product Forum. 

Ensure that you are logged in using your Google account. If not then use your Google account to log into the forum. 

Now click on the ‘New Topic’ to create your query. 

Now, write your query title in the question box and details in the big textbox below. You can also select your issue type 

from the sidebar dropdowns. 

After writing your query, click on ‘POST’ to post your query to the forum. 

Experts will soon answer your query. 

Note: No Email support is available for Google Pay (Tez). However, if you get an email from Google Pay (Tez), you can

  1. RBI Ombudsman 

Besides many ways of customer support, you may not be satisfied. In such case, you can complain to the Ombudsman. 

Recently the RBI has posted 21 ombudsmen for the digital transaction. You must go to them for any problem but only if 

the Tez did not resolve your issue. 

  1. Self Troubleshoot 

There are several problems that you can fix yourself. Most of these problems occur due to some technical issues with 

your handset or network. 

  1. Fix problems verifying your phone number 

Too many users face this problem when they try to verify their phone number in Google Pay (Tez). Sometimes the 

handset doesn’t send the SMS to the UPI app servers. And sometimes the OTP doesn’t arrive. You can fix this issue 

most of the time by following the steps below. 

Check if your phone has enough account balance to send the one time SMS to UPI servers. If not, then recharge your 

phone and try again. UPI charges the normal SMS rate for this SMS i.e. Rs. 1.50 normally. 

Check if your internet is working or not by visiting some websites. You can also try sending texts using WhatsApp or 

any other messenger that uses the internet to send messages. If your internet is not working then go to someplace that 

has better network coverage. Also, make sure that the airplane mode is turned off on your phone. 

If the OTP doesn’t arrive, then try resending it once again. If the problem persists, then close the Google Pay (Tez) app 

and launch it again. You can also restart your phone to resolve this issue. It resolves the issue most of the time.

  1. Fix problems in sending and receiving money 

If you are trying to send or receiving payment using cash mode on Google Pay (Tez). Then ensure that the place is not 

noisy. If it noisy, then move to a quieter place. Also, make sure that the sender is in pay mode and receiver is in receive 

mode. Remove any cases or covers from your phone. 

Check the payer’s account balance for the availability of enough money. If you are making the payment by entering the 

details manually, then check for any error in details. Check typing mistakes on UPI ID, bank account or IFSC. Moreover, 

check that you haven’t crossed the transaction limits for a day. 

If all these things are fine then contact the Google Pay (Tez) customer care using any of the above methods.

If you made a transaction and hadn’t received the scratch card, then don’t worry. First of all, check if your transaction is 

eligible for the scratch card or not. Note that payments made to other UPI apps users are not eligible to get scratch 

card rewards. You should go to the offers page and read the terms to know the eligibility.

There may be hundreds of the complaints. But I have listed the top three complaints and their solutions.

Money Deducted But Transaction Failed

It is the, most common type of the problem. Many times, it happened to me as well. This problem occurs because of the communication problem between Paytm and telecom company. Actually, when we do a transaction, other organisations are also involved in the whole payment process. It there is a technical error from any platform, the payment may fail.

But, you should not worry much about it. Because your money would be refunded after few hours. Sometimes, it may take more than a day. If you do not get back your money within 2 days, you should contact the customer support of the Paytm. In case, you contact earlier, you would get the standard answer- wait for 48 hours.

Many of us Paytm to recharge our mobile or pay the bill. But, sometimes, in spite of the successful payment, It does not result in order placement. Your recharge or bill payment would not happen. The Paytm also supports UPI money Transfer.  Because of this system, you can immediately transfer money from one account to another bank account without any charge. This payment system is extremely convenient and people are adopting it.

However, sometimes, there can be some problem. It may happen than fund transfer does not take place whereas money gets deducted from the bank account. The concern is justified. However, this problem is related to UPI. And UPI has made a robust system to deal with all such cases. Any money which can’t be deposited to a bank account would return back to the sender.

The banks have to credit an amount within 2 hours of receipt. If it can’t find out the beneficiary account, it has to refund the amount after the 2 hours. That is why in most of the cases you would get back the money within 4 hours. If it takes more time, you should contact your bank. As Money transfer takes place between two banks. The money does not come to the Paytm. It only triggers the fund transfer. Hence, the bank would give details of the transaction.

There are 4 ways to contact customer care and get your queries resolved. You can choose any of the methods as per your convenience.

Support Ticket

This is the preferred method to resolve to Paytm feedback or queries.  You would only see this method when you reach the Paytm Help Page. It is quite organised and you may get your answer through the process of booking the support ticket. The process goes through the followings steps.

Open Paytm App and tap on the menu icon (3 parallel lines on top).

A profile page slides out from the left, spot the ’24×7 Help’. Tap it.

You would see the various categories of the Help. Search for the category of your problem or complaint. If you choose the recharge and bill payment, you would see the list of your past transactions.

Choose the transaction which has a problem. Next, you have to choose the issue.

The system would give you the standard response to such problems. But if you are still not satisfied, you can also send your message to the customer care.

After submitting the support ticket, the Paytm customer care would contact you or send a message.

The Paytm provides the customized answer to 95% problems. Its 24×7 Help is very advanced and gives you the answer according to the status of your account or transaction. However, all these are the standard answers which or automatically given.

In fact, it is difficult to reach the customer care executive. You can say that Paytm avoid any human contact or manual resolution of the queries. How To deal with Technical Problems

Dealing with technical problems in the BHIM app is easier than you think. Some problems arrive due to issues related to your device or network connectivity. Sometimes the network connectivity becomes very bad. You should avoid using BHIM when network connectivity is bad. If you do so then you may face issues of failing, declining or pending transaction.

Reboot Your Phone

But sometimes even with good network conditions, transactions fail, decline or go to pending state. To solve this, you should exit from the BHIM App and restart your phone. This may solve your problem most of the times. You should also clear the RAM and cache files of your phone to get rid of some common errors.

Change the SIM Slot

You should insert your preferred SIM card in SIM 1 slot of your phone. If you place your SIM card in SIM 2 slot it will probably give you errors when authorising the mobile number.

Call BHIM helpline

If the problems don’t get solved even after all of these steps. Then you should file a complaint with the BHIM customer care or your bank depending upon the issue.

Problem of No-Credit

Most of the complaints are about the No-credit of the payment. The money gets deducted from your account but your family or friend does not receive it. It also happens with the Bill payment. The amount can be in thousands. Thus, your concern is natural. However, you should not panic and wait for 2-3 days. Often money is credited back to your account in 2-3 days. After this period, you should lodge a complaint.

For the lodging the complaint, you should not jump to the toll-free number. As, customer care helplines are often engage. Hence, you should try to use the other support methods.

Complaint Through the App

You can use BHIM App itself to complain about issues. The process is as simple as it could be. You need to open the BHIM app and go to the transactions page. Now choose the transaction in which you are facing the problem.

Ascertain the Issue

Here you will find two options at the bottom of the screen. The first option is ‘Report Issue’ option and the second is ‘Call Bank’ option. If the issue you are facing is related to BHIM app then you should choose ‘report issue’. Here choose the problem, write the details in the box and tap on the ‘Submit’ button. But if the problem is related to the bank then choose the second option which is ‘Call Bank’.

Complaint Online

You can also complain the issues at the NPCI official website. For this, visit NPCI Website and go to contact us page. Here enter your name, mobile number and Email ID. Click on the subject box and choose BHIM from the drop-down menu. Write the details of the issue you are facing in the description box and click on submit. NPCI will resolve your issue as soon as possible.
